Healthcare facility for slum-dwellers in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Kotak Mahindra Bank Friday announced it was tying up with Wockhardt Foundation, which offers hospital management service, to launch six ambulances for the benefit of people in slums here.

The tie-up, forged as part of the CSR (corporate social responsibility) programme of the bank, is to help the poor people requiring basic healthcare facilities, said joint managing director of the bank Dipak Gupta in a press release.

“The provision of primary healthcare in the slums is a concern. Through our effort and this initiative, we aim at addressing the existing gaps in healthcare,” said trustee and chief executive officer of the foundation Dr Huz in the release.
