Chennai: Wasim and Vijay, the two Kumkis reached Dhevaram in Theni district today to control a single wild elephant which is causing havoc in the locality.
The wild elephant has been entering farm lands and houses in Elluparai, Thaazhaiyoothu, Saakuloothu forest range for the past four months.
Two months ago Khaleem and Maariappan two Kumkis were used to chase away the wild elephant into the forest. However, it has returned now. Solar lights have also been deployed in the farm regions to prevent wild elephants from entering these places.
