After the success of Theeran Adhigaram Ondru, Karthi is ready with his next titled Dev.
He plays an angry young called as Dev Ramalingam. The first look of Karthi in Dev was unveiled by Suriya on Thursday.
Directed by Rajath Ravishankar, the movie has Rakul Preet playing the heroine.
According to him, “The protagonist happens to be a youngster, who has to fight against some challenging odds to accomplish what he wants. Dev has lots of elements that will be enjoyed and discussed by contemporary youngsters.”
Rajath adds, “I am a great fan of cricketer Kapil Dev and hence named my hero as Dev. Well, the name holds the short form, but his full name happens to be Dev Ramalingam.”
Prakash Raj plays Karthi’s father and Ramya Krishnan dons the role of Rakul Preet’s mother. Smile Settai Vignesh, Amrutha, Vams are also in the cast.
Harris Jayaraj scores music for the movie, while Velraj cranks the camera. The movie is produced by S Lakshman of Prince Pictures.
