Chennai: A holiday has been announced today for districts that have been affected by severe cyclonic storm Gaja.

While schools in Kodaikanal, the educational districts of Thanjavur, Pattukottai and Orathanadu, and Tiruvarur have declared a holiday today, schools and colleges will be shut today in Pudukottai district, according to reports.

Exams that were to be conducted today by Anna University and its affiliated colleges, have been postponed to 15 December.

Similarly, exams to polytechnic colleges, scheduled for today, will now be conducted 26 November, says the report.
