Chennai: Superstar Rajinikanth will participate in the late DMK president Karunanidhi’s statue unveiling ceremony to be held at the party headquarters, Anna Arivalayam, here at Teynampet.
The DMK is making elaborate arrangements for the event that is to take place tomorrow as it would see the participation of who’s who of Indian politics, including former Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
According to reports, DMK president M K Stalin has already extended an invitation to actor-politician Kamal Haasan to attend the ceremony.
The event is being seen as yet another chance to consolidate the Opposition parties’ resolve to fight the upcoming general elections in alliance to keep the BJP at bay.
