Chennai: The tug-of-war involving the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) members is threatening to get intense.
A complaint has been lodged with the Pondy Bazaar police to take action against the producers who locked up the TFPC office yesterday.
Yesterday, a section of producers laid siege to the TFPC office in T Nagar and locked the office alleging that the president of the council, Vishal, has been acting against their interests.
At around 9 am, film personalities, including A L Azhagappan, J K Ritheesh, Suresh Kamakshi, Sakthi Chidambaram, along with a few others, reached the office at T Nagar and raised slogans against Vishal.
They said, “The present office-bearers in Producers Council have failed to fulfil their promises.”
Coming down heavily on Vishal, they said, “We will file a complaint against him with Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami soon.”
Reacting dramatically to the ruckus today, actor-producer Praveen Gandhi said Vishal will ‘break open’ the lock on the office. He also charged that some producers were behaving like rowdies.
Parveen said the producers were being instigated by some former office-bearers of the TFPC.
