Chennai: There was double-delight 15 January: It was not just a day to celebrate Pongal but also a day to witness Andal thirukalyanam at the Varasidhi Vinayakar Temple in Besant Nagar.
Male and female devotees participated in the celebrations in good numbers. The priests ensured that all the rituals that are followed in a regular wedding were followed for Andal’s thirukalyanam with Perumal.
The devotees were involved in all the rituals and were seen to be ecstatic.
