Madipakkam Social Service Trust (MSST) conducted its sapling maintenance drive for the 85th consecutive week on 5 January from 6 am onwards.
The day’s activity included sapling maintenance at Bazaar Road from Sabari Salai to Ram Nagar and watering of plants at Velacheri Main Road. Over 90 trees along Ayyappa Nagar lake bund were also covered.
The trust also conducted a walking campaign on 6 January between 5 pm and 7 pm from Ayyappa Nagar lake to Ram Nagar, creating awareness among public to keep the locality green and clean by issuing bit notices. The trust is in need of funds for procuring saplings and interested residents can contribute for the cause.
