Leopard cub enters house in TN; captured in hours

Udhagamandalam: Forest personnel captured a leopard cub in Ippadi village in Nilgiris district on Tuesday after it strayed into a house and hid under a cot.

According to reports, Rayan, the house owner, found the cub inside the bedroom yeasterday afternoon. He immediately ran out and locked the door from outside and notified the forest department.

On information, the officials along with a veterinarian reached the spot and placed a cage just in front of the door. After a few hours of wait, they succeeded in making the leopard leave the house and ultimately into the cage. The leopard was later estimated to be 3-4 years old.
