Ilaiyaraaja’s daughter Bhavatharini will be composing music for a female-centric film, Maayanadhi, directed by debutant Ashok Thiyagarajan.
The film’s story revolves around the problems faced by an ambitious and studious high-school girl who aspires to become a doctor and her father who trusts her immensely and a young boy without any ambitions who is in head over heels in love with this girl.
Whether a girl would be able to control her natural emotions for infatuations and love and achieve her ambitions is a theme explored by the film.
The movie stars Pattadhari fame Abi Saravanan and Kadhal Kasakudhaiya heroine Venba in the lead roles. About roping in Ilaiyaraaja’s daughter to compose music, director Ashok says that Maayanadhi is a female-centric film and only a female composer would be able to do justice to the emotions in the film. Bhavatharini has also lent her voice for the film.
