Chennai: Ravikumar and medium pacer Sashanth (5 for 41) starred in YSCA ‘s 29-run victory over Ashok Leyland in the GR Kuppuswamy Memorial League-cum-knockout Cricket Tournament on Tuesday.
Ravikumar scored 96 runs in 67 balls, hitting 13 fours and two sixes as he helped his team score 184 in 30 overs for the loss of nine wickets. Chasing 185, Ashok Leyland was bowled out to 155 as Shashant picked up five wickets.
In another match, A Prithviraj came up with an all-around performance for Apollo Tyres scoring 74 (65 balls 8 fours and one six) and claiming three wickets for 45 runs with his off-spin. Prithviraj and Joevet (72) added 127 runs for the second wicket for Apollo Tyres.
