Chennai: Retteri Junction is grappling with parking issues as motorists have been parking their vehicles as they please, claim residents.
Asked about the issue, traffic officials state that the junction comes under Madhavaram limit and cops from there need to sort it out.
“Parking under the bridge must be regulated. Cops should lay out parking spaces and regulate them, or otherwise, people will start misusing the space. If motorists continue to leave their vehicles here, then petty shops will come as well. Also, police have kept barrels to stop motorists from crossing and creating problems to oncoming traffic. However, the barrels have been moved further onto the road by those who park. That must be put in check too,” said Kannan, a resident.
