Chennai: The Ramapuram Lake at Porur is undergoing desilting work. Municipal authorities are seen carrying out the task by removing and disposing large mounds of sand with trucks and earthmovers.
Gravel stones have also been added to the banks of the lake. Once the task is completed, the lake will benefit residents by replenishing the locality’s ground water sources.
