Chennai: A woman passed away at a government hospital after a snake bit her at her house in K K Nagar on 3 December.
According to sources, Sumithra (35), wife of Palani, was bitten by a snake which was hiding in a shoe rack at her house. Palani works as a carpenter in the film industry and Sumithra was a homemaker.
Sumithra was cleaning the rack when the incident took place. She was taken to Government Kilpauk Hospital in an ambulance and later referred to Government Stanley Hospital where she died this morning.
