Chennai: AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has come down heavily on DMK and AIADMK, accusing them of deviating from their principles and compromising for political gains.
The Hyderabad MP, whose party has forged a partnership with TTV Dhinakaran’s AMMK, questioned the DMK’s claim of being secular, asking why it had joined hands with the Congress that supported the ‘communal’ Shiv Sena in Maharashtra.
He said the DMK lacked political courtesy because it had revoked an invitation extended to him for an event of the party’s minority wing in January. He also said the DMK was arrogant.
The present AIADMK, he said, was not the party that it was when late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa was at the helm.
“The AIADMK that you see now is not the AIADMK of madam Jayalalithaa, who kept away the BJP from entering Tamilnadu. The party has now become subservient to Modi,” he alleged.
