Chennai: Aranya foundation is a NGO started in 2015 by Shilpam Kapur Rathore, wife of senior IPS officer Sandeep Rai Rathore.
She believes in dictum ‘Annadanam is supreme and incomparable to any charity’.Ā Aranya foundation provides to provide food to needy and poor OPD patients who comeĀ to hospitals to take treatment.
With the present pandemic and the rising cases daily, there is a huge need and requirement for food especially for the elderly and lonely patients under home quarantine.
Aranya Foundation has stepped in at this need of the hour to assist and provide free meals at the door step.
The organisation is starting this programme in Chennai for the recent Lockdown. It aims to give free, hygienic, ready to eat meals for needy Covid positive patients and their caregivers at their doorsteps for duration of lockdown in areas in and around with help of Delhivery. Food will be delivered in and around Kilpauk, Anna Nagar, Nungambakkam, Mylapore and Adyar.
A dedicated helpline 044-4299 7501 has been setup which will function from 10 am to 5 pm daily.
