Review: Kasadathapara

Chimbu Devan’s Kasadathapara is all about six stories interconnected. As the movie begins, a voiceover explains that everything and anything in this world can be seen as result of butterfly effect or vantage point theory.
All six stories may have different faces, different issues but a connection with earlier stories. One’s action in a story influences events in the next. Call it a hyperlink as we saw in Ayudha Ezhuthu or Super Deluxe.
Premgi and Regina Cassandra’s love in a story finds a place in gangster Sampathram’s tale next. The latter pours love on his son Shanthanu. Sampathram’s death before the eyes of a cop Sundeep Kishan lets loose interesting sequence of events. Harish Kalyan plays the protagonist in a story and his character has a spiralling effect on next featuring Vijayalakshmi. And a missing file from Premji’s office in first story has a part to play in saving a life in last of the series starring Venkat Prabhu in the lead.
One director, six set of technicians and six team of artistes come together. Interestingly the different shades and tones elevates mood in each one. Visually each film’s brilliant in its own terms.
Venkat Prabhu, Premgi, Regina, Sundeep Kishan, Priya Bhavani Sankar and Harish Kalyan does their part well.
Yuvan, Santhosh Narayanan, Praveen KL, Balu, Sean Roldan, Kathi and RD Rajasekhar form part of the behind the screen team giving their best.
Out in Sony LIV, Kasadathapara provides a curious and interesting watch.
