Eastern US hit by winter storm

A winter storm stretching from the US states of Maine to Virginia has blanketed large parts of the East Coast, causing school closures, power outages and flight cancellations, and particularly leading the governors of New Jersey and Virginia to declare a state of emergency.

Global Covid caseload tops 302.6 mn

Amid an ongoing resurgence across the world, the global coronavirus caseload has topped 302.6 million, while the deaths have surged to more than 5.47 million and vaccinations to over 9.37 billion, according to Johns Hopkins University.

LIC new business down 20% in December 2021
