Chennai: After six days, Tamilnadu reported one death due to Covid-19 from Cuddalore on Thursday night. However, seventeen districts in the State had no new Covid-19 cases and nine others had one case each.
The fresh cases tally of the State on Thursday was 70 and cumulative death toll since March 2020 touched 38,025.
As many as 37,357 more samples were tested for the virus in the State in the past 24 hours. The test positivity rate (TPR) in Tamilnadu stood at 0.2 per cent, while Chengalpattu and Chennai recorded a 0.6 per cent positivity rate.
Among districts, Chennai reported 20 new cases followed by Chengalpet 11 while the remaining districts recorded cases in single digit.
