Chennai: An elderly couple from Coimbatore ended their life at Agnitheertham temple tank in Rameswaram.
According to reports, the couple tied their hips with ropes and jumped inside Agnitheertham.People spotted the bodies floating in the tank and immediately informed the police.
Both the bodies were retrieved and sent for post-mortem. The reason for taking the extreme step is not known. Further investigations are on.
