Even as deliberations are on between AIADMK leaders on single leadership in the party, supporters of both Edappadi K Palaniswami and O Panneerselvam traded blows against each other near party headquarters in Royapettah.
Slogans were raised as several hundreds gathered at the place. Police were deployed in large numbers.
Meanwhile, posters urging the leaders to take over the leadership of the party were seen in several parts of the State.
AIADMK, the principal opposition party in Tamilnadu has convened a meeting of its general council and executive committee on June 23 to discuss several crucial issues confronting the party and the latest political developments besides who should lead the AIADMK.
