AIADMK infighting: Action shifts to Delhi

With AIADMK infighting reaching its peak, O Panneerselvam, who left for New Delhi last night, has written to the Election Commission that the decision to convene General Council meet on July 11 was unilaterally taken without his accord as he is the coordinator of the party.  Hence it should be cancelled, he wrote.

Meanwhile, Edappadi K Palaniswami has gone in to a huddle at his Greenways Road residence since morning. Senior leaders and former Ministers were closeted with him.

Emerging out of the meet, former AIADMK Minister B Valarmathy said, ‘We are ready to face any legal issue. The GC will be held as announced on 11 July and EPS would be elected as party chief’.
