DMK govt renominates Ex-DGP Sylendra Babu for TNPSC Chairman post after Governor Ravi returned file last week. Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi had clashed with the DMK-led state government last week after he returned the file on the appointment of Chairman and members of the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission. After giving necessary clarifications to queries raised by RN Ravi, the State government has resubmitted the same to Governor. It may be recalled that when the file was returned by Governor initially, DMK organisation secretary R.S. Bharathi alleged that Ravi had “deliberately and with ulterior motive” rejected the State government’s recommendation. The chairman and members of the state public service commissions have a term of six years but can serve only till the age of 62.
