Justice Anand N Venkatesh of the Madras High Court on Wednesday lamented the use of Ganesha idol procession celebrations for the people when God does not ask to carry the idol in procession.“What is the use of these celebrations for the people when Ganesha does not ask to carry the idol in procession? Politics is done with the Ganesha procession, the Justice made this remark while hearing a case filed on behalf of the Hindu Makkal katchi to allow the installation of Ganesha idols and processions in Coimbatore, Erode, and Tirupur districts.
