All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) has officially announced its complete withdrawal from the alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Tamil Nadu. The announcement was made by AIADMK’s general secretary, Edappadi Palaniswami, during a public event in Salem.Palaniswami emphasised the party’s decision to sever ties with the BJP, stating, “AIADMK has completely withdrawn from the BJP alliance. I have made this clear.”
He also made it clear that there was no external pressure or influence prompting the decision to leave the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Tamil Nadu.
