More Ministers will land in jail, says EPS

Chennai, Dec 22: Former Chief Minister and AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami has made a bold assertion, suggesting that the recent conviction of Minister K. Ponmudy in a disproportionate assets case is just the beginning. Palaniswami indicated that several more ministers could face legal repercussions in the near future.

Speaking to reporters, Palaniswami remarked, “Now another Minister is going to prison. In the coming days, a few more Ministers will go to jail.”

Addressing the recent floods in Chennai, Palaniswami defended the AIADMK government’s efforts, stating that they had planned to construct storm-water drainage covering 2,400 km in Chennai over five years. He noted that drains for 1,246 km were successfully constructed during their term. However, he criticized the DMK government for allegedly failing to complete the remaining work adequately.
