Speaker accepts Vijayadharini’s resignation as MLA

Speaker of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, M Appavu, has officially accepted the resignation of Congress MLA S Vijayadharani. The decision comes after Vijayadharani submitted her resignation letter to the Speaker on Saturday, February 24. Vijayadharani, a three-time MLA and a prominent figure within the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee (TNCC), tendered her resignation from the State Assembly and subsequently joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on the same day. Her induction into the saffron party took place in the presence of Union Minister of State L Murugan, Tamil Nadu BJP Lok Sabha election in-charge Arvind Menon, and co-in-charge Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy.
