Stalin releases books on forts in TN


On Tuesday, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin released two English language books at the Secretariat that delve into the state’s rich cultural and historical heritage. The books, titled “FORTS OF TAMIL NADU – A WALK-THROUGH” and “FOLK DEITIES OF TAMIL NADU,” were launched.
FORTS OF TAMIL NADU – A WALK-THROUGH: Released by the Tamil Nadu Tourism Department, this book explores various historic forts across the state, providing detailed insights into their unique features and historical significance.
FOLK DEITIES OF TAMIL NADU: Published by the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, this book educates readers about the histories, rituals, and cultural practices associated with the state’s indigenous deities.
The launch event was attended by notable dignitaries including Tourism Minister K Ramachandran, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department Minister PK Sekar Babu, Chief Secretary Shiv Das Meena, and journalist and Director of The Hindu Group, Nirmala Lakshman.

The release of these books aims to promote the understanding and appreciation of Tamil Nadu’s cultural and historical heritage. By documenting the stories of historic forts and indigenous deities, the books serve as valuable resources for both residents and visitors interested in the state’s rich traditions and historical landmarks.
