Fix law & order issue in State: Annamalai to TN govt

BJP state president K Annamalai has called on the ruling DMK government to acknowledge the deteriorating law and order situation in Tamil Nadu and take immediate, strict action to address it.
In a statement issued on Friday, Annamalai highlighted the recent murders of political leaders and functionaries as indicative of a broader problem. “Law and order has deteriorated across Tamil Nadu to such an extent that there is not a day without news of murder or robbery,” he said.
Annamalai further criticized the state government, stating, “Tamil Nadu has been pushed to the point where people are scared to go out of their homes. But Chief Minister MK Stalin is only using the state police to take revenge on opposition parties.” He accused the ruling DMK of exploiting the police department for political gains, alleging that the police have become “prey in their thirst for power.”
He urged the state government to recognize the public’s fear and insecurity and to take immediate measures to restore law and order in Tamil Nadu. “The ruling DMK should at least now stop making the police department the prey in their thirst for power,” Annamalai added in his social media post.
