In response to the heavy rainfall, a National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team has been swiftly deployed to Andhra Pradesh from the NDRF base at Thakkolam, near Arakkonam, in Ranipet district. Acting under the orders of Deputy Commandant Sankarapandian, five teams comprising 30 personnel were dispatched to Vijayawada yesterday.These teams carried advanced rescue equipment, including rubber boats, ropes, tree-cutting tools, medical supplies, and communication devices. Additionally, sniffer dogs named Tyson and Prince accompanied the teams to aid in the rescue operations.
The deployment underscores the readiness and swift response of the disaster management forces to mitigate the impact of natural calamities in the region.
