Senthilbalaji withdraws petition seeking relief from ED

Former Minister Senthil Balaji has withdrawn his petition seeking relief from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) case against him. Following his request to withdraw the plea, the Madras High Court dismissed the petition.
Senthil Balaji, who served as the Transport Minister during the AIADMK government, was accused of collecting money from several individuals under the pretext of securing jobs in the Transport Department. A case was registered against him and others for the alleged scam.
Subsequently, the Enforcement Directorate took action under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) and arrested Senthil Balaji in June last year as part of the ongoing investigation.
In connection with this case, the Enforcement Directorate filed a chargesheet against Senthil Balaji in the Chennai Principal Sessions Court. With his petition now dismissed by the High Court, the legal proceedings in the case will continue.
