H. Raja, State Coordinator of the BJP, has strongly criticized the recent VCK (Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi) conference held in Ulundurpet, calling it a “political drama.” Referring to the event, he stated that the VCK and DMK are deceiving the public by falsely aligning themselves with the cause of prohibition, despite the DMK’s involvement in the liquor industry. He questioned VCK leader Thol. Thirumavalavan’s sincerity, accusing him of inviting DMK members, who operate liquor factories, to a conference supposedly advocating for prohibition.
Raja pointed out that even Mahatma Gandhi, who stood firmly against liquor, would disapprove of the presence of alcohol bottles in Gandhi’s memorial, a reference made in agreement with the Governor’s remarks. He also highlighted that the Dravidian party’s governance has not benefitted the Dalit community.
He condemned the VCK for allegedly assaulting a female police officer at the conference, further criticizing the deteriorating law and order situation in Tamil Nadu under the current administration.
In his concluding remarks, H. Raja extended his congratulations to actor Vijay, acknowledging his growing political influence and wishing him success in his upcoming party conference. He reaffirmed his confidence in the BJP alliance’s honesty and expressed hope for a successful outcome in the 2026 state assembly elections.
