A bomb threat was reported at the Chennai Airport on Monday evening following an email received by the Director’s office. The email claimed that bombs had been planted on eight Air India flights arriving in Chennai from Sri Lanka, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, and Kolkata, as well as three IndiGo flights from Goa, Pune, and Hyderabad.In response, bomb squad experts and security personnel at Chennai Airport conducted an intensive search across the targeted flights. After a thorough investigation, the bomb threat was confirmed to be a hoax, causing no actual disruption to airport operations.
The airport security team remains vigilant, emphasizing their commitment to passenger safety amidst such threats.
