The escalating incidents of daily murders and the erosion of humanity in Tamil Nadu have become a cause for grave concern, according to the Hindu Munnani. The organization’s state president, Kadeswara Subramaniam, has issued a statement urging the government to take swift action.
In his statement, he highlighted:
“The rise in murders, the growing menace of contract killings, and the increasing trend of murderers surrendering themselves daily in Tamil Nadu is alarming. The state government attributes these killings to personal rivalries, which only serves to downplay the gravity of the situation. The failure to punish heinous criminals decisively emboldens others to commit crimes, as validated by psychological insights.”
He also pointed out the frequent bomb threats targeting schools, trains, and flights, stating that the government has yet to take strong action against the perpetrators. Contract killings have become more prevalent, and serial murders have seen a sharp increase. Over the past three years, political figures, officials, and individuals in various professions, including doctors, teachers, and lawyers, have fallen victim to violent crimes.
“The daily occurrence of brutal crimes raises fears that humanity is dying in Tamil Nadu. It is the responsibility of the police to apprehend such criminals swiftly and prevent further crimes,” Subramaniam emphasized.
He also urged the state to uphold Tamil Nadu’s reputation as a spiritual and righteous land. “To curb such inhumane violence, the government must promote moral values, spirituality, and compassion among students, fostering a culture of love and empathy for all life.”
In conclusion, Subramaniam called on the Tamil Nadu government to take appropriate measures to ensure peace and progress in the state.
