Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai has slammed CM MK Stalin, calling his claims of Hindi imposition an “imaginary” issue. He pointed to the BJP’s signature campaign supporting the three-language policy, which gained over two lakh endorsements in 36 hours, as proof of public support.
Annamalai criticized the DMK for failing to launch a similar campaign against NEET and mocked past instances where DMK pamphlets were discarded. He asserted that Stalin’s “Hindi colonialism” claims were losing traction and that the three-language policy was gaining acceptance in Tamil Nadu.
He further accused the DMK of using language politics to divert attention from governance failures, alleging that Stalin was trying to stir emotional sentiments instead of focusing on real issues like education, jobs, and infrastructure.
