MK Stalin Calls Opposition CMs’ Meet on Delimitation Issue 22 March

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has invited opposition-ruled state CMs and key political leaders for a meeting in Chennai on March 22 to discuss concerns over parliamentary constituency delimitation.

Stalin emphasized that the issue is not about opposing delimitation but ensuring it does not disadvantage states that have effectively controlled population growth. He raised concerns over the Centre’s lack of clear assurances on how seats will be allocated.

To counter any unfair changes, Stalin proposed forming a Joint Action Committee (JAC) with states like Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, West Bengal, Odisha, and Punjab.

The meeting aims to unite opposition leaders and formulate a collective action plan to ensure a fair and transparent delimitation process.
