Actor and TVK chief Vijay hosted an Iftar in Chennai on Friday. The actor wore a skullcap and sat along with the attendees, taking part in the prayers before they broke fast during Ramzan.
After breaking the fast, Vijay joined the Imams in prayer and later addressed the gathering of Islamic followers. In his speech, he said, “Let us follow the path of the great Prophet, embracing humanity and brotherhood. I sincerely thank all my Islamic brothers and sisters for accepting our invitation and attending the Iftar gathering.”
Arrangements were made for nearly 2,000 participants, and imams from 15 nearby mosques were invited.
