Relief is on the way for parts of Tamil Nadu as the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Chennai, has issued a heavy rain warning for several districts on April 2 and 3. The showers are expected to provide respite to areas experiencing intense summer heat.
According to the forecast, heavy rain is likely in isolated places across the Ghat areas of Coimbatore, Tenkasi, Virudhunagar, Theni, and Dindigul on April 2. The following day, Coimbatore, The Nilgiris, and Erode are also expected to receive heavy showers.
Additionally, the RMC has predicted light to moderate rainfall in some areas, including Puducherry and Karaikal, on April 4 and 5.
With the possibility of heavy downpours, residents in the affected districts are advised to take necessary precautions.
