The Indian Navy successfully tested a guided missile on Thursday.INS Surat, a new indigenous destroyer, shot down a low-flying missile. The target was skimming over the sea surface. The test marked a big step in strengthening India’s defence. It comes days after the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
That attack killed 26 people. The missile test also follows a maritime alert from Pakistan.
Pakistan has planned a surface-to-surface missile test. It will be conducted from its Karachi coast. Indian defence agencies are closely monitoring the situation.
