AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami announced that more parties will join the AIADMK-led alliance for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. He stated that several parties are expected to join the alliance in the next nine months.Palaniswami also expressed gratitude to the central government for addressing key demands, including funding for the 100-day job guarantee scheme, the Metro Rail Phase-II project, and the announcement of a caste census. He thanked Home Minister Amit Shah for fulfilling these demands following representations made by the AIADMK.
Regarding the allocation of a Rajya Sabha seat to DMDK treasurer LK Sudhish, Palaniswami declined to comment.
