AIADMK nominates ex-MLAs Inbadurai and Dhanapal for RS seats

AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami has announced the party’s candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections on June 19. Former MLAs I.S. Inbadurai and M. Dhanapal will contest on behalf of the AIADMK. Deputy General Secretary K.P. Munusamy said the party took this decision after consulting with its ally, DMDK. He confirmed that DMDK is still part of the alliance. Although there was an earlier agreement to share Rajya Sabha seats, AIADMK will keep the two seats this time. Munusamy said DMDK has been promised a seat in 2026. EPS also met DMDK Treasurer K.L. Sudhish and assured him that the promise would be kept.
