Jurassic World Rebirth set to roar into theatres on July 4

One of cinema’s most iconic franchises is ready to evolve once again. Following the global success of the Jurassic World trilogy, Universal Pictures, in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery, is set to launch Jurassic World Rebirth — a bold new chapter that promises high-stakes adventure, cutting-edge science fiction, and nostalgic thrills. Directed by Rogue One filmmaker Gareth Edwards and written by Jurassic Park’s original screenwriter David Koepp, the film is slated for a grand release in India on July 4, 2025, in English, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. Set five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the story unfolds in a changed world where dinosaurs now exist only in isolated equatorial zones that replicate their prehistoric environments. When scientists discover that three enormous species—one each from land, sea, and air—hold genetic secrets that could transform human medicine, a daring mission is set into motion. The operation is led by Zora, a hardened expedition commander with a shadowy past, played by global superstar Scarlett Johansson. She is joined by Jonathan Bailey as a conflicted geneticist and Mahershala Ali as a survivalist with hidden motives. Together, the team journeys to a long-abandoned island facility, the original site of Jurassic Park, where danger, both prehistoric and moral, awaits.

Johansson, a lifelong fan of the franchise, expressed excitement about the project, calling Koepp’s script “a Jurassic film to the core—a survival thriller with high personal stakes.” She collaborated closely with Koepp to flesh out the character of Zora, ensuring she carried both the strength of a seasoned operative and the vulnerability of someone searching for meaning and redemption. “Zora is at a turning point in her life. She’s made sacrifices, and now she’s ready to make a choice for herself,” Johansson shared.
Backed by a stellar cast including Rupert Friend and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Jurassic World Rebirth not only revives the awe and terror of the dinosaurs but also confronts the ethical boundaries of science. With Gareth Edwards at the helm and top-tier production values, the film is poised to offer a visually spectacular and emotionally grounded experience for audiences of all ages.
