Union Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has questioned the Tamil Nadu government over the Keezhadi excavation project. He asked why the state is not sharing full details with the Centre. In a post on X, Shekhawat ON Wednesday said the Centre is ready to support Keezhadi if the findings are backed by science. He asked the Tamil Nadu government not to play politics and instead share proper research data. The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) recently raised doubts about the report on Keezhadi. They asked the team to revise it and clarify the timeline of the discoveries. Tamil Nadu Minister Thangam Thennarasu replied strongly. He accused the Centre of delaying the project and trying to hide Tamil history. He said the state will continue to protect its heritage. Keezhadi is a historic site near Madurai. It has revealed old buildings, tools, and Tamil-Brahmi scripts believed to be from the 6th century BCE. @@@
