AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami has slammed Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, calling his upcoming public outreach campaign a “publicity stunt.” He said Stalin keeps renaming old schemes like ‘Mudhalvarin Mugavari’ and ‘Neengal Nalama’ just to fool people.
EPS mocked Stalin’s past act of collecting petitions in boxes when he was in the opposition. “Now he seems to have lost the keys to those boxes,” he said.
Palaniswami accused the DMK of raising taxes and failing to maintain law and order. He said Stalin’s new campaign is aimed at getting votes before the 2026 elections but warned that people will not be fooled again.
EPS also criticised DMK’s alliance partners for staying silent despite the government’s failures. He said they are hiding behind ‘alliance dharma.’ He claimed that unlike AIADMK’s Amma Thittam, which genuinely addressed public issues, the DMK’s schemes have only focused on image-building and failed to bring real change.
