Mangadu, June 30: Tamil Nadu Ministers P.K. Sekar Babu and Thamo Anbarasan have launched a new scheme to distribute prasadam (sacred food offering) daily to all devotees visiting the Mangadu Kamakshi Amman Temple.The launch event was held at the temple and was attended by several dignitaries, including Congress MLA Selvaperunthagai, HR&CE Additional Commissioner Dr. C. Palani, Kancheepuram District Collector Kalaichelvi Mohan, HR&CE officials, temple trustee Dr. Manali Srinivasan, and other local leaders and devotees.
As part of this initiative, every devotee who visits the temple will receive prasadam daily. The scheme aims to enhance the spiritual experience of the devotees and ensure that the tradition of offering sacred food is consistently upheld.
The Mangadu Kamakshi Amman Temple is one of the well-known pilgrimage sites near Chennai and is managed by the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) Department. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Kamakshi, a form of Goddess Parvati, and draws a large number of devotees every day.
