AIADMK leader Edappadi Palanisami spoke in Mannargudi. He said the DMK government has stopped help for farmers. The previous AIADMK government gave 12,000 crore rupees for crop insurance. Farmers got money even if their crops were damaged.
Palanisami stated that the DMK government did not include Kuruvai farmers in this insurance. He also mentioned that under AIADMK, water bodies were cleaned. Now, 18,000 paddy sacks are left outside, risking damage from rain.
He also pointed out many power cuts in Thiruvarur. Palanisami believes the DMK government is harming farmers by stopping good plans.
