Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin said that the state aims to become a $1 trillion economy by the year 2030. He made this announcement while speaking at the TN Rising Investors Conclave held in Thoothukudi.Stalin said the government is working hard to attract investment and create jobs, especially in southern districts. He highlighted that agreements worth ₹32,553 crore were signed at the event, which will bring in 41 new projects and create around 50,000 jobs.
The Chief Minister also pointed out that over the last four years, Tamil Nadu has attracted ₹10.30 lakh crore in investments through 898 projects, creating nearly 33 lakh jobs directly and indirectly.
He said the state is focusing on sectors like electric vehicles, solar power, semiconductors, green hydrogen, and data centers to drive future growth.
Stalin assured that the government will continue to support industries and added that “what we promise, we will deliver.”
