DMDK leader Premalatha Vijayakanth has accused AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS) of betraying her party. Speaking at a DMDK booth committee meeting in Chennai, she said EPS ā€œstabbed us in the backā€ over their alliance deal.
Premalatha claimed the alliance was made with the promise of a Member of Parliament seat. She said the agreement had no fixed date, unlike deals made during M.G. Ramachandran and Jayalalithaa’s time. She added that she has proof but would not release it to avoid hurting EPS’s image.
She also criticised EPS’s campaign rallies, claiming people are paid to attend them. In contrast, she said DMDK’s events are attended by genuine supporters who admire party founder Captain Vijayakanth.
Premalatha ended her speech by wishing Chief Minister M.K. Stalin success on his foreign tour.
