Senior AIADMK leader and Deputy Leader of the Opposition RB Udhayakumar strongly criticized expelled party leader KA Sengottaiyan, branding him as “inconsistent and self-serving” in a pointed statement on Sunday.

Udhayakumar accused Sengottaiyan of acting solely to stay politically relevant, warning that those aligning with expelled leaders like Sasikala and O Panneerselvam are risking further political failure.

Udhayakumar declared that only those who place their faith in current AIADMK chief Edappadi K Palaniswami will succeed, drawing parallels with the loyalty shown to former icons MGR and Jayalalithaa. He stressed that recent maneuvers and legal challenges by Sengottaiyan are motivated purely by self-interest and predicted they would ultimately be unsuccessful.

He further underlined that sporadic expressions of support or condemnation by a few individuals would not offer protection to those facing disciplinary action. Udhayakumar concluded that Sengottaiyan’s present moves will do little to salvage his standing within the party, reaffirming confidence in Palaniswami’s leadership as the guiding force for AIADMK’s future.
