Mumbai, Nov 4: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a cash reward of ₹51 crore for the Indian women’s cricket team.
This reward is to celebrate their victory in the 2025 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup, where India defeated South Africa women’s cricket team by 52 runs in the final.
The ₹51 crore reward covers the players, support staff and the selection committee.
According to the BCCI, this reward is in addition to the prize money from the International Cricket Council (ICC), which awarded ₹40 crore for winning.
This announcement marks a major milestone for women’s cricket in India and highlights the rising importance of the sport.
